Position Title: Finance / Accounts Administrator

Salary Range: 4-5 lac


    
Position Summary:

The Business Office Administrator performs various business office functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, review of ledgers, and other basic accounting functions. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide high-level customer service to all students at all times including current and former students. This position is demanding and requires a high degree of patience, initiative and self-management to respond to the range of functions and tasks required to be performed. The position also requires high-level organizational skills, and the ability to undertake a variety of tasks simultaneously, while maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times. The position requires handling cash, credit cards, and checks. 



Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Experience working with budget/accounting and personnel functions including ledger reconciliation, and fiscal close.
  • Experience in financial management utilizing critical thinking, analytical and creative problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and business management practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated management skills to set goals, coordinate, evaluate, initiate creative projects, and complete workload.
  • Able to read, understand, interpret, and apply state/university rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Analytical skills to anticipate/identify problems, compare data to draw conclusions, and develop goals/plans for resolution and implementation.
  • Able to organize work effectively to achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous projects, distribute effort appropriate among the projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Computer knowledge and skills to utilize various programs and software for word-processing, spreadsheets, website applications (Word, Excel, etc). 
  • Experience using an automated financial accounting system
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse population and to research, secure, and/or provide information to clarify situations, and resolve problems. 
  • Excellent verbal skills to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally in person and by phone. 
  • Skill to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with others to secure necessary information and cooperation from a variety of individuals and effectively resolve disagreements and conflicts.

-    Computer proficiency and experience with the Management system, the Internet and basic computer software programs in a Windows environment is required.

Qualification and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma required. College degree is highly desirable, plus 2 to 4 years of relevant records administration experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills. 
  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Experience with computerized information system (preferably Campus   Management). 
  • Familiarity with higher education organization and academic policies and FERPA. 
  • Ability to deal effectively with students, faculty, staff, senior administrators, parents, government agencies and other outside organizations.
