The inauguration of K.K. Modi University's Happiness Gurukul by the esteemed Lama Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, the Happiest Man on Earth marks a momentous occasion for us as it opens its doors of a cultivated space to learn, inspire, teach, and practice living the good life. This initiative stems from a growing awareness and enthusiasm for wellness on campus. Lama Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, a celebrated meditation teacher has revolutionized the understanding of Buddhism by merging it with scientific insights into mind and mental health. The teachings draws from his personal struggles, focuses on embracing happiness and navigating change.
The Gurukul is designed by the acclaimed architect Sami Rintalla of Rintala Eggertsson, Norway, embodying the symbol of the swastika (?), representing the sun, prosperity, and good luck, while adhering to the important principles of vaastu.
The Happiness Gurukul will offer numerous benefits, such as fostering mindfulness, enhancing emotional resilience, and cultivating a sense of community among students. With Rinpoche’s guidance and Sami’s visionary design, participants can experience a space set to become a sanctuary for all seeking to enriching their lives, embodying positive change, and ultimately, learn the art of living well.
