Introduction

Discover how KK Modi University’s School of Engineering prepares B.Tech CSE students—across IT, Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical—to turn classroom learning into real-world innovation and impact.

The Classroom Is the Beginning

“The classroom teaches you the formula; the world teaches you how to apply it to create change.”

Engineering has always been more than crunching numbers or tinkering with machines. It’s about building things that matter and shaping what comes next. For B.Tech CSE grads, the classroom? That’s just where it all kicks off. Out there, the real world is packed with opportunities where creativity, tech, and fresh ideas collide—and that’s where real careers take shape.

Think back. Every engineer remembers that first wave of curiosity—the urge to figure out how stuff works or why things move the way they do. At KK Modi University, that little spark is the beginning of your whole story. Here, we see engineering as a mindset, not just a subject. It’s about finding smart ways to solve problems and actually making a difference. No matter if you’re into IT, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Computer Science, everything you learn in class turns into a launchpad for something bigger.

We don’t just want to teach you tech skills—we want you to see how technology can actually change lives. For us, the classroom is only the starting line. Your journey stretches way beyond campus.  Honestly, the real test doesn’t show up as a final exam. It comes when you step into the world and try out what you’ve learned. That first project outside the classroom? It hits you differently. Suddenly, you get it—engineering isn’t just about fixing problems, it’s about dreaming up solutions no one’s even thought of yet. You start to see how what you know—whether it’s coding smart systems or thinking up cleaner cities—might just change the world for real.

So this is where the next chapter begins for you — a space where every concept learned in class turns into a real-world possibility. From AI to green tech, robotics to design thinking — the world is open for engineers who are ready to shape it. Let’s explore where those pathways can lead.

Each story is a testament to how curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset can transform classroom knowledge into real-world impact. Whether it’s a computer science graduate creating AI solutions for healthcare or a mechanical engineer leading a green-energy venture, behind every successful engineer lies a story of curiosity, persistence, and purpose and KKMU’s alumni embody that spirit.

Discover how KK Modi University alumni like Pulkit Sahu transformed classroom learning into real-world innovation—building a thriving career in AI, Python, and fintech. A story that proves engineering at KKMU goes far beyond textbooks.

Every campus has students who dream big — and then work relentlessly to turn those dreams into reality. For Pulkit Sahu, a B.Tech (AI & ML) graduate from KK Modi University, Durg, engineering was never just about marks or modules. It was about mastering the power of data, logic, and innovation — and using them to create something meaningful.

Today, Pulkit works as a Python Developer at Xtention Crew Technologies, a fast-growing fintech company known for its cutting-edge work in algo trading and automation. But his story didn’t start there. It began in KKMU’s classrooms — and more importantly, beyond them.

“At KK Modi University, every project pushed me to think beyond what’s written in textbooks. I learned to look at technology not just as code, but as a way to solve real problems,” Pulkit recalls.

From Classroom Projects to Real-World Systems

During his years at KKMU’s School of Engineering, Pulkit developed a strong foundation in Python, data analysis, and business statistics — skills that would later define his professional path. His curiosity led him to experiment with technologies like Machine Learning and PostgreSQL, blending his academic learning with practical exposure.

As an intern at NextWealth IT Services, he worked on automation and data research projects, where he quickly earned recognition for his leadership and problem-solving approach. These experiences weren’t just about coding — they taught him how real businesses operate, how to work in teams, and how to communicate technical ideas with clarity.

“Internships at KKMU weren’t just checkboxes — they were stepping stones. I realized that learning never ends; it only evolves with every challenge,” says Pulkit.

His dedication and performance earned him the highest CGPA in his academic session — a reflection not only of his hard work but also of KKMU’s 60% practical and 40% theoretical learning model, which empowers students to apply what they learn immediately.

Breaking into FinTech: Where Code Meets Commerce

After graduation, Pulkit joined Xtention Crew Technologies in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, as a Jr. Python Developer, where he began building backend systems for real-time trading platforms. Within months, his expertise and commitment led to a promotion to Python Developer, where he now works on:

  • Designing REST APIs and WebSocket connections for live trading data
  • Building scalable algo-based trading systems for crypto, equity, and forex markets
  • Integrating automation solutions that make complex financial operations seamless

For Pulkit, the world of fintech wasn’t just another job opportunity — it was a playground where all his learning from KKMU came alive.

“At KKMU, I learned how technology can create value — and at Xtention, I get to live that every day. Seeing a piece of code drive real financial decisions across markets is truly empowering,” he shares.

Learning Never Stops: The Power of Continuous Growth

Even after stepping into the professional world, Pulkit’s hunger to learn hasn’t slowed down. Alongside his full-time role, he’s earned multiple industry-recognized certifications — including Python for Data Science (IBM), Data Visualization with Power BI (Great Learning), and Time Management & Presentation Skills (Harvard Business Review).

He also published a research paper titled “The Gender Gap in Entrepreneurship: A Study of Ideation” at an International Conference on Digital Transformation, proving that his academic curiosity still fuels his professional edge.

And beyond academics and work, Pulkit’s time at KKMU was filled with achievements that built his confidence in leadership and balance — from winning the “Man of the Tournament” title at Spardha 2k23 to organizing campus tech events that brought students and innovation together.

From KKMU to the Industry: Lessons in Grit and Growth

Pulkit’s journey is more than just a résumé of skills and titles — it’s a reflection of what happens when theory meets real-world learning. His story mirrors what KK Modi University stands for: a place where students learn to combine technical mastery with curiosity, communication, and creativity.

“If there’s one thing KKMU taught me, it’s that engineering isn’t just about building systems — it’s about building yourself,” Pulkit says with a smile.

Today, as he builds high-performance backend systems in one of India’s emerging fintech hubs, Pulkit continues to carry that spirit — the same one that KKMU instills in every aspiring engineer who walks through its doors.
