  • Unlocking Your Potential: A Guide To Success in B.Tech, BBA, MBA etc.

So I’ll begin with telling you about the formula for success. If you observe the people around you , you’ll find that most individuals follow a formula that has been taught to them by their schools, their company, their parents or society. It often says “If you work hard, you will become successful, and once you become successful, then you’ll be happy.”

This pattern of belief explains what motivates people. They feel that only when they achieve a certain goal will they be successful. That goal may be money or grades or a better job or a relationship or a  position or a bigger house. It may be anything .

  • So The Science says  Work hard = achieve success, achieve success = be happy.
  •  But this formula is broken

A decade of groundbreaking research in the fields of positive psychology and neuroscience has proven :

    • That Happiness is the precursor to success and not merely the result
    • Actually to fuel performance, achievement and success we need happiness and optimism

John Milton wrote in his book, Paradise Lost,

“The mind is its own place, and itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.”

  • So what we We need to do is  Focus on the positive experience and scan for new opportunities. If we do this we give ourselves the greatest power possible, and that is : the ability to move up. And that is what all successful people do. They see adversity not as a stumbling block but as a stepping stone.
  • Remember we can retrain our brain. If we want more energy and we want to achieve success in life so we should always be on the lookout for the good things in life. Every LOCK has a key and our job is to find it. So when our brain constantly scan for and focuses on the positive, we will find solutions and ways to move up.

Here are 3 simple strategies and tool for success:

In a state of gratitude, we say yes to life. We affirm that, all in all, life is good and has elements that make it worth living. Gratitude comprises of the recognition of the goodness in our lives and then how this goodness came to us. Through this process, we recognize the fortune of everything that improves our lives and ourselves. Gratitude has been found to be beneficially associated with social wellbeing, emotional wellbeing, and psychological wellbeing (Jans-Beken et al., 2020).
